Winter Driving
- Be prepared and plan ahead - check driving conditions on DriveBc.ca or on twitter @DriveBC
- Be equipped with winter tires- all season tires can begin to lose their elasticity and grip on the road at temperatures below 7°C.
- SLOW DOWN - posted speed limits are designed for ideal road conditions. Slow down when driving on snow, ice, slush or rain.
- Allow yourself at least twice the normal braking distance on wet or slippery roads.
- Low beams are more effective in fog or heavy snow.
