In this episode, Shelby shares her story from her time in the RCMP’s Sex Crimes section investigating child sexual assaults and child pornography. Shelby shares that these investigations deeply impacted her physically, mentally and emotionally, to the point where she ended up suffering from PTSD and lived in shame for years. Shelby talks about how sharing her story was met with love and understanding, not the judgement and stigma she feared. Her story is inspirational, filled with life lessons and hope.
