Tsawwassen woman missing, public assistance sought

Update December 10, 2021 - The missing person is still unlocated. Search and Rescue volunteers were called out and searched well into the night. Delta Police also deployed drones in an effort to find her. If you have CCTV and live in the area, or were driving in the area around 6:30 pm on Dec. 8, please check your cameras, if you haven't already been contacted by police with a request to do so.
Police are also requesting that property owners in central Tsawwassen please check backyards, sheds, etc. for any signs of the missing person.

Delta Police are asking the public if they have seen a 49-year-old woman reported missing from her home in Tsawwassen.
She is believed to have walked away from her home in the central Tsawwassen area, east of 56th St, around 6:30 pm on December 8, 2021, and has not been seen since. βHer disappearance is very much out of character, and her family and police are really concerned for her well-being,β says Cris Leykauf, spokesperson for Delta Police.
She is described as:
- Caucasian woman, age 49
- 5β9β tall, athletic build
- Straight brown hair, green eyes
- She was believed to be wearing black yoga pants and carrying a blue and gray backpack with a UBC baseball logo on it at the time of her disappearance.
