Robbery Prevention
• Trust your Instincts – if you sense trouble, get away as soon as possible
• Be aware of your surroundings – Walk with your head up at a steady pace. Avoid carrying lots of items in your hands.
• Walk in well-lit areas whenever possible,
• Do not carry large amounts of money on your person whenever possible.
If you are victim to a robbery, try to remain calm and make your safety the top priority. Be a good witness and make note of as much detail as possible about the suspect including description, method and direction of travel, and any unique features. When it is safe for you to do so, call 911. Ask any witnesses to stay until the police arrive and try to protect the scene of the crime by not touching anything.
