Attempted Murder Charges Sworn
Delta, BC – On November 29th, 2024, at 9:39 am, the Delta Police Department (DPD) responded to a report of a car having been driven intentionally into the Fraser River, at the 8200 block or River Rd, Delta. The vehicle was off road, and stuck in the foreshore of the river and not in the water. Prior to police arrival, Delta Fire Department firefighters and good Samaritans came to the aid of the female driver and two young children.
Two charges of attempted murder have been sworn against the driver of the car, who has been arrested and remains in custody awaiting her first court appearance. A publication ban is in place to protect the children’s identity. The Delta Police Department will not be sharing the driver’s identity information or further any details.
