Elite Nutrition with Lynae Chodat
In Episode 87 of Bend Don’t Break, we continue our six-part series on elite performance by focusing on a critical pillar: nutrition. Building on previous conversations about elite sleep and understanding key health markers, this episode explores how nutritional choices can profoundly impact performance, resilience, and long-term wellbeing—especially for those in high-demand professions.
Our guest, Lynae Chodat, brings a wealth of experience to the conversation. With a 26-year career in policing and a deep background in fitness, Lynae understands firsthand the physical and mental challenges faced by first responders. In her mid-40s, she shifted her focus to nutrition, becoming a Certified Holistic Nutritionist (CHN), Certified Holistic Counsellor (CHC), Natural Nutritional Clinical Practitioner (NNCP), and Certified Mindset Coach. She holds diplomas in Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Consulting from Alive Academy and is registered with the Canadian Association of Natural Nutrition Practitioners.
Lynae shares her personal journey of building strength and resilience, including how her dedication to fitness helped her survive a life-saving surgery. Her philosophy—“Build for Impact”—is about training for the hard days, not just the good ones. In this episode, she discusses how elite nutrition supports that mindset and why it's essential for those who serve on the front lines.
Tune in for practical insights and powerful inspiration from someone who has truly lived the “Bend Don’t Break” ethos.
