News Release

Delta, BC – Delta Police is requesting the public’s assistance for a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Aug 8, 2026 in Delta.

On Aug 8th 2026, at approximately 5pm Delta Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the 10400 block of Ladner Trunk Road. An electric motorbike was travelling south bound on Ladner Trunk Road when it was struck by a vehicle. 


The 26 year old male, driver of the electric motorbike, was transported to local area hospital in critical condition with life threatening injuries.

Alcohol and speed have not been ruled out as contributing factors in this collision. The incident is still under investigation.

Ladner Trunk Road will be closed both south and north bound while the investigation is conducted. Public is encouraged to use Hwy 99. 

Anyone with more information, including dash cam footage around the area of 10400 block of Ladner Trunk Road, is asked to contact the Delta Police at 604-946-4411.
