Delta Police are currently on scene investigating an incident involving a vehicle, that occurred at approximately 3:30 pm, May 3, 2022 in the 7000 block of Scott Road.

Initial reports indicate that a male was struck by what witnesses describe as a large truck. This incident does not appear to be criminal in nature. The male unfortunately has passed away as a result of his injuries. Delta Police are currently working on conducting a next of kin notification.

“Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or anyone who has dashcam footage and was in the area at this time, says A/Sgt. Leisa Schaefer, spokesperson for Delta Police. There is some indication that the driver of the vehicle may not have been aware that they hit someone.
