Delta Police Investigating a Domestic Dispute

The Delta Police is investigating a domestic dispute that resulted in a male barricading himself in a residence in the 11500 Block of 81A Avenue, North Delta. Due to the proximity to McCloskey Elementary School, the school was placed into a "hold and secure" and a controlled release of the students was facilitated.

The Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team attended to assist and the male was taken into custody a short time later and is facing charges of Uttering Threats and Assault.  

There were no injuries as a result of this arrest.
