Delta Police Investigate Fatal Collision  

Delta, BC – Delta Police are currently on scene of a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred in the parking lot at Tsawwassen Mills at approximately 10:25 a.m. this morning.

Preliminary information indicates the driver of the involved vehicle may have experienced a medical emergency prior to the collision. Four pedestrians were struck and, tragically, two people have died as a result of their injuries. The remaining injured individuals were treated at the scene by BC Emergency Health Services and transported to hospital.

Our thoughts are with the families, loved ones, and all those affected by this tragic incident.

The incident is not related to the Truth and Reconciliation Walk that was taking place on Tsawwassen First Nation lands at the time. There is no ongoing risk to public safety.

The investigation remains in its early stages as officers work to determine all of the circumstances surrounding the collision.
