Delta Police Foundation Presents 3rd Annual Summer Solstice Run, Walk, Roll Event

Delta, BC – May 9th, 2024 – The Delta Police Foundation, in collaboration with the Delta Police Department (DPD) and the Run Inn, is excited to announce the 3rd annual Summer Solstice Run, Walk, and Roll (RWR). The RWR will be held on June 20th, 2024, starting at 6:30 PM at the DPD Headquarters, 4455 Clarence Taylor Crescent, Delta.

The RWR highlights the Foundation's commitment to supporting relationships and connections between the DPD and local community. Last year's turnout was exceptional, with over 200 participants, including children as young as 5 years old and seniors in wheelchairs.

The RWR is designed to be inclusive and accessible to all, serving as an opportunity to welcome the summer season while bringing our community together for a stroll, brisk run, or roll through Ladner alongside the DPD team. There will be live entertainment, food trucks and other refreshments - it’s an event with fun for the entire family. Participants can choose from 2km or 5km routes.  Proceeds from the event will enhance the Foundation's efforts to sponsor youth-oriented community initiatives, such as the Student Police Academy.

Race packages can be collected in advance from the Run Inn, located at #125 – 1315 56th Street, Delta, BC, between Monday, June 17th, and Thursday, June 20th. Alternatively, they can be obtained on-site at the DPD Headquarters on the day of the event.
