Acting Deputy Chief Guy Leeson

Acting Deputy Chief Guy Leeson was appointed Acting Deputy Chief of the Delta Police Department on July 29, 2024. With a distinguished career spanning nearly three decades; he has been a dedicated member of the Delta Police since November 1995. Throughout his tenure, Acting Deputy Chief Leeson has held various key positions, including Inspector in Charge of Investigations and Patrol, and Superintendent responsible for frontline, investigative, and community policing within Delta.

A seasoned leader, Acting Deputy Chief Leeson has played a pivotal role in many of Delta's significant investigations since 2000. His credentials include being an Accredited Major Case Team Commander and a member of the E Division Major Case Management Committee. He is also a Gold Commander for public order incidents.

Acting Deputy Chief Leeson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Simon Fraser University. As a proud resident of Delta for the past 50 years, he has deep roots in the community—attending school, working, raising a family, and coaching local soccer and lacrosse teams.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Acting Deputy Chief Leeson enjoys traveling, camping, kayaking, hiking, fishing, and spending quality time with his friends and family.
