Police make arrests following search warrant in Boundary Bay
File 20-7511
Delta Police executed a search warrant at a residence on 66A street in Boundary Bay on April 30, in regard to an ongoing investigation.
Two people were arrested, and police anticipate they will be forwarding charges to Crown in relation to evidence found at the scene.
“There is significant speculation on social media that police were investigating a meth lab,” says Cris Leykauf, spokesperson for Delta Police. “That’s not the case. There is no evidence to suggest drugs were being produced at this site.”
She further indicated police do not believe the residence poses a risk to public safety.
The Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Services team attended for the initial execution of the search warrant, and Delta Police’s Traffic Specialty Dog Unit assisted in the search.
Police have seized evidence and at this time are still processing the scene.
