Delta Police are incorporating a standardized service approach to enhance our service delivery to our citizens. It is important to us to have identified service standards that everyone can expect when a Delta Police Officer attends to investigate any incident.
GLAD is an acronym which identifies the service standards of;

Greet: Officer identifies self and addresses the citizen by name
Listen: Officer uses active listening techniques & confirm that he/she understands the issue at hand
Action: Officer explains his/her authority & how he/she intends to help resolve the issue
Disposition: Officer provides his/her contact info & determine the best method to contact the person
