Man faces dangerous driving charge after police called
A man has been charged with dangerous driving and failing to stop after police were called to a report of a suspicious person at 11:30 pm on January 26.
Police located a man matching the description they had been provided, in a vehicle outside a business at the 1600 block of Fosters Way. When police in both marked and unmarked vehicles entered the parking lot, blocking the exit, the driver allegedly drove toward police vehicles, then over a grassy embankment onto Foster’s Way.
Air 1 was used to safely monitor the progress of the vehicle. Spike belts were also deployed by police to try and safely disable the vehicle.
The vehicle stopped at Cliveden Avenue and Audley Blvd. At that time the Lower Mainland District Police Dog Services was used to help affect an arrest of two individuals, a man and a woman.
