Delta Police Pipe Band

 The Delta Police Pipe Band was formed in 1971 by members of the Delta Police Department.
In honour of the co-founder of the Pipe Band, the late Chief Constable Mervyn W. Smith, the Band wears the predominantly green and blue Ancient Smith Tartan, along with full highland dress with feather bonnets.
The Band has grown to its present strength of 53 (33 pipers and 20 drummers).
Pipe Major Colin Abel retired as Pipe Major in 2011 after serving for 10 years. The new Pipe Major is John Rolston with Moe Coll still the Drum Major.
