The Delta Police Department’s Major Crime Section (MCS) investigates all missing persons files not resolved in the first instance by the Patrol Section. MCS handles:
- Missing children
- Missing adults
- Requests for assistance in locating a lost relative or friend
- Missing elderly/Alzheimer’s
- Amber Alert
- Child abductions by parents or strangers.
In 2012, several findings from the Missing Women’s Report needed to be addressed nationally to ensure Missing Person files were handled effectively, efficiently, in a manner that withstood public scrutiny and, foremost to protect the safety of persons who go missing. The Delta Police Department has reviewed its best practices concerning missing persons investigations to ensure that all investigations are conducted in a thorough and consistent manner.
MCS works with our partner agencies during missing person investigations. Examples of some of these partners are; Canada Border Services Agency, Services Canada and the BC Coroners Service, and U.S. Homeland Security.
The National Centre for Missing Persons and Unidentified Remains (NCMPUR) of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is Canada’s national centre that assists law enforcement, medical examiners and chief coroners with missing persons and unidentified remains investigations across the country »see Canada’s Missing.

|Reported Missing:||August 5, 1989|
On Saturday, August 5, 1989, three year old Casey Rose Bohun disappeared from her home in North Delta, BC. Subsequent police investigation has failed to determine what happened to her. It is possible that Casey was abducted and is living elsewhere in Canada or the United States.
Casey would now be 27 years old and may be unaware of her past life in Delta. She is caucasian and has red/brown hair and brown eyes.
Casey’s departure had a devastating effect on her family. Eventually her mother and step-father separated and in 2001 her mother committed suicide.
