Media Advisory:

Delta Police and CFSEU Bring Their Rides and Interact with Youth

Delta Police have recently rolled out the Escalade that was granted to us through Civil Forfeiture is well received by the young people in our community. The ‘cool ride’ is one of the many ways DPD is reaching out to break down barriers between police and youth, especially those that are not accustomed to positive interactions with police.

DPD youth officer along with a  group of Delta’s youth and teacher will be on hand to share their experience connecting with the DPD youth officer.

Date: Monday September 18, 2017

Time: 11:15 a.m.

Location: 6090 Deas Island Rd (South Delta area)

Showing support  for DPD’s initiative, CFSEU will be joining us with their “ride”.

Delta Police Department’s Youth Officer works to connect with all young people in multiple settings and situations. Taking a less traditional approach is working well to reach young people where they are at and simply walking alongside them supporting them to reach their full potential.
