Information Technology Section
The Information Technology Section (IT) provides technology services for all sections within the Delta Police Department.
 The focus of IT is to identify and acquire emerging technologies, information systems and networks that have law enforcement applications. Responsibilities include planning, developing, testing, implementing and supporting IT systems and networks throughout Delta Police.
IT is responsible for the maintenance and support of critical infrastructures such as our 911 Communications Centre, local and wide area networks, telecommunications, video and audio technology, mobile wireless technology, security access systems, radio communications and web development, as well as providing user support for daily IT services including email, Internet, intranet, security, backup, data storage, printing and computer hardware and software support.
