Delta Police Department - A safer and better community through excellence in policing

Community Spirit

Throughout the year Delta Police officers participate in a variety of community building events, many of which are carried out in their off–duty time. They give their time, energy and talents to heighten community awareness and involvement for a variety of charities and programs. It is not the officers alone that make a positive difference, it is the spirit within the community that makes a real difference—people helping people.

These meaningful community building events include:

  • Cops for Cancer:
From perching themselves as high as 220 ft in the air at Flag Chev Olds to going blonde, the Delta Police team members of the Tour de Valley group raised money for childhood cancer research and treatment. Their efforts met with great results.
